Before there was Cady Ternity there was the Ben Burr band. In early 2022 Ben Burr recruited Sara Primo, James “Griffin” Crafts, and Justin Ward to play a few shows together. They performed tracks from the works that Ben released during the pandemic times when playing at clubs wasn’t an option. Ben and Griffin had some history playing music together dating back to high school, so when Ben and Sara wrote their first album “the New Direction” it was obvious that they would call on him to help bring their music to a live setting. 

In the beginning the live setup involved a BOSS Rhythm Dr. DR-880 performing Bass & Drums, Griffin on Keys and both Sara and Ben on guitar. Since then the group has explored many live arrangements of their music with the constant of Griffin playing the drums. You never know what you might get when you show up to a Cady Ternity show. 

The band’s last full-length release “On & On Anon” (Oct. 2024) was lauded as “one of the best Vermont records of 2024” in Seven Days news publication. It includes tracks like “Who’s D’Boss”, “Very Powerful Dream Engine”, “Rescue a Dog (Togther!)”, and “My Tie” which have been played on a few college radio stations. 

Cady Ternity had played all over the state of Vermont and in Austin, TX. The band is in the process of expanding its gigging regimen across the US in the coming year.
